Pro-Active Training Institute, Inc. (PTI) is an Arizona-based training company specializing in high quality / low cost training for law enforcement, corporate security, and law-abiding citizens of the general public.
We provide training for a wide variety of topics associated with high risk situations where stress levels are elevated and lives are at stake. Our training is principle-based in nature, meaning we teach the principles and core concepts associated with the use of weapons and the application of tactics. Those who understand the principles are more fluid and flexible, and learn how to adjust and adapt accordingly, to win a confrontation in any given situation and environment.

September 2011: PTI presented the Active Shooter Intervention (ASI) course at the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) on September 7-8. Officers from 6 different agencies attended the training.
May 2011: PTI provided an 8-hour Shoot House Instructor Development course at the IALEFI Annual Training Conference in West Palm Beach, FL. In addition, PTI owner Jason Wuestenberg provided a 2-hour workshop on Developing Advance Firearms Drills. This is the 6th consecutive year PTI has been selected to be a presenter for IALEFI.
In the Spotlight...
ASI Update: PTI has received feedback from students who have attended the ASI (Active Shooter Intervention) course that their agency has adopted the principles taught on the ASI course. And, the ASI program is being considered for replacement as the new primary program in North Carolina and the UK for law enforcmenet agencies.
